Please note this is a highly physical position and requires a strong work ethic. The role involves rostered overtime, including both weekend shifts and weekday shifts that may extend until 6:00 PM after normal working hours.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to animal care and a collaborative spirit:
- Qualifications: Ideally, you'll have a TAFE qualification or equivalent in Animal Care and Husbandry, along with previous experience in a similar role.
- Students Welcome: We encourage applications from candidates currently engaged in TAFE study, provided your availability aligns with our required weekly schedule.
- Compliance: You must be familiar with and committed to working strictly in accordance with the Australian Code for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes.
- Teamwork: A proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team is essential for success.
