Part-Time Team Leader & Yoga Instructor

Specialisations: Yoga and any of the following: Stretch, Meditation, Mindfulness, Mat Pilates.

Location: Belconnen Town Centre


Role Overview

This is a dynamic role where you are leading our team of Yoga, Stretch, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Mat Pilates instructors by ensuring class schedules are being set and covered, staff processes are put in place and managed, and programs and retreats are run smoothly at the new Replenish by Power Flow studio in Belconnen.

You will be working closely with the local owners Mick and Jess, and the other support roles in place to assist in implementing classes, programs, and retreats.

Candidates must have in interest in running retreats and programs (including yoga teacher training if qualified to do so, but this is not essential) in collaboration with other staff, including on weekends (but not all weekends).

The Team Leader will also support integration and coordination across the broader Power Flow CBR brand, including:

  • Power Flow Pilates (McKellar & Mawson)
  • Power Flow Mind (Belconnen & Gungahlin)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead studio operations at the Belconnen studio including scheduling, staff coordination and training, stock maintenance, and client and studio experience.
  • Assist with client and staff onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Deliver and/or facilitate classes, sessions, programs, training programs, and retreats in Yoga and any other areas of expertise (e.g., mindfulness, breathwork, mat Pilates), on  weekends (but not all weekends).
  • Work with Mick and Jess in the development of classes, programs, and retreat schedules, including the coordination of other wellness specialists for retreat and program bookings.
  • Assist with program delivery and logistics.
  • Coordinate staff coverage and shift changes in line with studio protocols.
  • Contribute to client and staff communication including regular emails and / or social media content as it relates to your role.
  • Assisting clients to purchase products and services, including confirming stock purchase orders as required (yoga mats, socks, t-shirts etc).

Candidate Attributes

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Passion for Yoga and wellness.
  • Experience in studio or team leadership.
  • Qualifications in Yoga and at least one other relevant area (e.g., mindfulness, meditation, counselling, therapy, breathwork, mat Pilates).
  • Flexibility to support dynamic scheduling and program delivery.
  • Community minded with a real desire to help people.
