Position Details

  • Location ranging from:
  • Elizabeth
  • Ingle Farm
  • Felixstow
  • Rostrevor
  • Shifts currently available:
  • Shifts available across a 7-day roster (weekdays and weekends)
  • Shift times range from 6:00am – 11:00pm
  • Passive overnights
  • Shift duration, based on customers needs and funding, shift times range from 2 hours to 8 hours
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Community access and transport
  • Social supports
  • Personal care
  • Manual handling
  • Domestic duties
  • Assisting customers with meal planning, preparation and cooking
  • Experience and/or training in Medication Administration is desirable, but further training will be provided
  • Experience and/or training in Behaviours of Concern is desirable, but further training will be provided
  • Provide high quality support to customers with complex high needs (such as Spinal Cord Injury experience)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support, or similar qualification
  • CPR certificate completed in the last 12 months
  • First Aid certificate completed in the last 3 years
  • Manual Handling completed in the last 12 months
  • NDIS Workers Screening
  • South Australian Working with Children screening
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • NDIS Supporting Safe Meals Training
  • NDIS Supporting Effective Communication
  • Experience with medication administration is desirable, but further training will be provided
  • Experience working with, or training in supporting a customer with a Spinal Cord Injury is desirable, but further training will be provided

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance, and willing to transport customers for community participation
  • Evidence of the right to work within Australia
  • Customers requesting female support workers
