The Other Side Landscapes Pty Ltd is a Residential Landscape Company concentrating on high quality swimming pools, gardens and entertaining areas. We have both construction and Garden improvement teams.

About the opportunity

Currently we are seeking Horticulture apprentices to work alongside team leaders in our Garden Improvement team.

The position will primarily be working in high quality residential landscapes performing tasks such as hedging, pruning, weeding, pest and disease identification and treatment.

Candidates must have the physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks required in residential landscape environments.

The role may also require soft landscape installation such as mulching, planting, turfing, drainage, garden lighting, and irrigation installation or maintenance.

Our aim to improve gardens not just maintain landscapes.

Skills and Experience

The role would be best suited for a Parks and Gardens (Horticulture) apprentice enrolled at TAFE studying Certificate 3 in Horticulture.

We will also consider those candidates committed to starting an apprenticeship or those who are mature aged.

Applicants must be 16+ years of age to be eligible for this apprentice position.

Some hobby experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred for this position.

Essential criteria for our ideal candidate include:

  • Be enrolled or willing to enrol at TAFE in Certificate III Parks and Gardens
  • Manual NSW Drivers licence.
  • Work cover White Card.
  • Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for this position.
