Location: ACT (preferred), QLD, VIC, NSW + Remote/ Hybrid options available for the right candidate (minimum 2 office days per month)

Security Clearance: Baseline

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to validate web applications, APIs, and mobile applications in accordance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and security officers to understand requirements and define test cases.
  • Implement and improve automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide input on testability and quality risks.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security policies, accessibility standards, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Perform regression testing and performance testing as required to ensure the stability of applications after updates.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Mentor junior testers and share automation best practices across the team.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to government digital transformation initiatives.

To be Successful:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years focused on automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Tosca automation tools with a proven track record in developing software and test design, test cases and test datasets using the Tricentis Tosca toolset.
  • Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of federal government IT standards, regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary federal security clearance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
