What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain the framework for clinical application improvement, ensuring it provides an effective mechanism to assess, prioritise, implement and measure improvement initiatives across Queensland Health.
  • Lead the development, prioritisation and implementation of a continuous improvement program of work using Agile thinking as a methodology base – delivering clinically focussed improvements focusing on providing efficient and customer centric applications across Queensland Health.
  • Lead the Clinical Applications team to undertake the review, audit and compliance to appropriate quality standards and engage with the business to resolve compliance issues and ensure that all policies, processes and procedures are in place to enable the delivery of "safe, quality and efficient healthcare through seamless digital solutions across Queensland Health".
  • Evaluate and modify SmartReferrals and SurgeryConnect workflows to ensure they are streamlined and as effective / efficient as possible to best meet the needs and quality standards of the business and reduce customer effort.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across eHealth by ensuring all IT Service Management processes are in place in line with best practice (e.g. ITSM, ITIL, ISO standards etc.) to provide a consistent end to end service for customers.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and promote continuous improvement practices within a large, complex service delivery organisation using Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and understanding of SmartReferrals and SurgeryConnect workflow solutions.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills incorporating the ability to liaise and consult effectively with personnel at all levels within and external to eHealth Queensland.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills including the ability to establish own work priorities and manage time effectively, whilst remaining flexible to respond to changing needs in a busy environment.
  • High level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to compile complex reports, briefs, correspondence and submissions on behalf of the Director, Service Management and Improvement.
