Job description:Rural Generalist Trainee - Single Employer Model (SEM)

About the Role
This role offers an opportunity for rural generalist trainees to be employed by Grampians Health under the Doctors in Training (Victorian Public Health Sector) (AMA. Victoria/ASMOF) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement while undertaking primary care placements, advanced skills training secondments and other training positions required to complete their rural generalist training.
Key features include:
- Support and facilitation of primary care placements, secondments, and advanced skills training for the 2026 Clinical Year.
- Full salary and entitlement parity with hospital registrars, including accommodation and travel allowances where applicable
- Valuable experience serving regional and rural communities within a fully integrated health service
Skills and Experience
Applicants must:
- Be registered with the Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP)
- Enrolled (or intend to be enrolled) in RACGP or ACRRM on a rural generalist pathway
- Be entering a primary care placement in 2026
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to rural generalism
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
