The Byrnecut Group

With nearly 6,000 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million-dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

We are currently seeking Underground Project Engineers for our Australian based projects.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure that contract operations are run in accordance with company policies and procedures whilst ensuring the highest standard of professionalism and integrity is maintained
  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Timely reporting of accurate site performance statistics
  • Identify and actively participate in business improvement initiatives
  • Preparation of monthly reporting and claims
  • Preparation and maintenance of site forecasting and scheduling
  • Manage purchasing and stock control
  • Maintain records for personnel and equipment maintenance
  • Perform other duties as required and directed by site management

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience
  • Previous experience underground
  • Manual driver?s license
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated interest in identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with other personnel
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
