Job Overview
The Senior Process Engineer is a strategic and technical leadership role designed to support the Senior

Reliability and Continuous Improvement Manager as a 2IC. This role goes beyond traditional process

engineering, requiring a strong team player who can lead initiatives to improve customer site performance

and internal processes. The Senior PE will drive lean transformation efforts, champion continuous

improvement, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. They will work closely with cross-

functional teams and customers, using advanced data analytics and problem-solving methodologies to deliver

measurable results. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a

passion for developing others and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Act as 2IC to the Senior Reliability and Continuous Improvement Manager, supporting strategic

initiatives and team leadership.

  • Lead efforts to improve customer site performance through data-driven insights and proactive

engineering solutions.

  • Champion internal process improvements aligned with lean transformation goals to enhance stability

and accelerate continuous improvement.

  • Foster a collaborative team culture, mentoring engineers and promoting knowledge sharing and

innovation.

  • Drive RMR (Revisions, Modifications, Retrofits) projects from concept to completion, ensuring

alignment with customer needs and business goals.

  • Represent the team in customer meetings and presentations, translating technical insights into

actionable strategies.

  • Collaborate with service teams to embed lean principles and support the transformation journey.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, ensuring transparency and alignment

on performance and improvement actions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Continuous Improvement Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and leading

lean transformation initiatives

  • Problem Solving Strong problem-solving skills with formal training in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent

methodologies.

  • Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of mechanical and control systems, particularly in relation to

automated systems.

  • Leadership Proven experience in a leadership or second-in-command role, with a track record of strategic thinking and team development.
  • Communication Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Data analytics skills Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to support decision-making.
  • Project Management Experience in managing projects from concept through to completion. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Sales Experience in customer-facing roles, with the ability to translate customer needs into engineering solutions.
  • Industry Trends Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

cannot be performed safely, it must not be performed.

  • Allow adequate time to obtain and comply with required safe work permits.
  • Encourage and support worker participation in health and safety initiatives on site.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings and training sessions in a timely and proactive

manner.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety through personal behaviour and leadership.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and directed.
