AWS DevOps Engineer

  • 3 months initial contract with potential extension
  • Part time role – 3 days per week
  • Design and automate scalable AWS cloud solutions

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing technology team and take ownership of designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS services, automation, CI/CD, and cloud security best practices.

This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse cloud initiatives, supporting digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable AWS infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and release processes.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, cost efficiency, and availability using AWS native tools.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet governance, compliance, and security best practices.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing production environments on AWS (EC2, VPC, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
  • Strong background in automation, scripting, and configuration management (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Solid understanding of network design, IAM, encryption, and cloud security practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus).
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Citrix environments within AWS.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud governance frameworks.
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Solutions Architect are an advantage.
