Overview
- To grow store sales and maximise store profitability through team members while maintaining the highest levels of customer care and operational performance.
- To up hold the Tony Bianco brand by providing leadership and coaching to all team members.
- The Store Manager's performance will be assessed and rewarded by measuring the achievement of sales, wages, shrinkage, AVG$, IPT and staff development objectives for each season.

Key Financial Responsibilities
- Accountable for the sales, wages, AVG$ and IPT, and shrinkage targets for their store
- To ensure team members are aware of their financial budgets, and given the tools, training and support to achieve them
- To motivate and encourage team members to achieve their financial budgets
- To ensure team members are aware of AVG$ and IPT results to capitalize on every sale opportunity
- To develop an understanding of the customer profile for their store to enhance stock consolidations, promotional opportunities etc., to increase sales. Providing feedback on opportunities for the store – stock, location, promotion etc.
- To be aware of market trends, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and competitor activity, to ensure that we are aware of what our competitors are doing and what we could be doing better
- To ensure all transfers into the store are accepted correctly and any discrepancies are alerted to the Systems Manager
- To complete daily banking, unless otherwise stipulated by the National Retail Manager.
- To carefully monitor spends in areas of petty cash, telephone, and electricity in line with budgets set by the Support Office
Key Administration/Stock Responsibilities
- To ensure systems are in place to control the loss of revenue due to theft, poor administration, error and waste at store level
- To complete rosters for the month ahead by the 15th of the month prior. These rosters must be developed to the hour's budget set and signed off by the Area Manager before communicating with team members
- To provide feedback to the National Retail Manager on stock opportunities, or issues with stock
- To ensure that reserves are maintained to protect the stock and make refilling the store a practical task
- To ensure that team members comply with Policy and Procedures and standards as provided in the company manuals
- To ensure that team members fulfil all administrative requirements
- To ensure that all administrative tasks are completed and submitted in line with company expectations on a daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal basis
- To ensure that administrative requirements, including filing, following up on customer correspondence, store feedback etc. is maintained
Key Staff Development/Training/Customer Service responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of each team member in the Store
- Responsible for the adherence of all team members to Tony Bianco policy and procedures, including staff presentation standards
- To embrace the company training initiatives and ensure that training follow-up is undertaken so that team members understand that there is an expectation that they make improvements as a result of the training attended
- To supervise team members and provide guidance to the Assistant Manager/Casuals in their supervision of team members
- To lead by example in delivering a high level of customer care
- To ensure that team members are trained to use correct sales techniques at all times
- To recruit high calibre team members that fulfil the company requirements, taking into consideration succession planning strategies, and who reflect the company philosophy
To performance improvement of team members to established company guidelines; ensuring appraisals are conducted and succession plans established for the store, exit interviews are conducted when appropriate
- To identify opportunities for team members to improve their performance through positive and corrective feedback, and ensure that that the action plans for performance reviews are managed
Key Visual Merchandising Responsibilities
- To work with the National VM Manager to ensure they are maintaining visual merchandising standards and merchandising product to maximise sales potential – taking into consideration Money Mapping results
- To ensure that they prepare for and execute VM direction set by the National VM Manager
- To promote VM feedback from the National VM Manager to ensure that the product is in the right place at the right time to maximize sales opportunities
Key Communication Responsibilities
- Effective communication with internal and external customers, including recruiting, grooming and nurturing relationships with all loyalty customers, ensuring they are kept educated in a friendly manner regarding all new deliveries, up-coming sale activity and VIP events
- Ensuring punctuality at all times
- Ensuring the Policy and Procedures Manual is followed at all times
- Ensuring all correspondence is actioned according to company standard i.e. memos, emails etc.
- Promoting and maintaining harmonious working relationships within the team
- Consistency with one on one meetings and that they have structure / purpose / follow up
Other Responsibilities
- Responsible for in-store activations – you will need to use your initiative to plan and activate in store events
- To attend training sessions organised by the Support Office
- To adhere to effective OH&S standards
