About the Role

We are seeking a skilled
DevOps Engineer
to support the migration from
SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya
. The role will focus on managing DevOps pipelines, automation, and deployment frameworks across both platforms, ensuring a smooth transition, operational stability, and long-term efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support
    CI/CD pipelines
    for SAS Viya deployments.
  • Maintain and enhance
    SAS 9.4 batch jobs, scripts, and automation
    during the migration phase.
  • Automate
    infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and deployment workflows
    .
  • Collaborate closely with
    Development, Architecture, and Operations teams
    to ensure seamless cutover and integration.
  • Implement
    reconciliation, validation, and governance controls
    in hybrid SAS environments.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize
    DevOps pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Contribute to the creation of
    DevOps best practices and reusable automation patterns
    for SAS platforms.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience with
    SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya
    administration and DevOps automation.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as
    Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
    .
  • Experience in
    containerization and orchestration
    (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Strong knowledge of
    Infrastructure as Code
    (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Advanced scripting skills in
    Shell, PowerShell, Groovy, SAS, or Python
    .
  • Exposure to
    cloud platforms
    (Azure or AWS).
  • Solid understanding of
    data migration, validation, and integration
    processes.
  • Familiarity with
    enterprise schedulers and control frameworks
    (e.g., Control-M, Airflow, LSF).

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with
    SAS migration projects
    .
  • Exposure to
    risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting
    environments.
  • Understanding of
    data governance frameworks and tools
    .
