What's Involved?

Sunshine Sugar currently has an opportunity for a Store Person based at our Harwood Mill. Please note that this role may also be required to work at our Broadwater store as needed.

Reporting to the Stores and Purchasing Manager, the Store Person plays a central role in ensuring that store operations are carried out efficiently, while providing the level of service and support necessary to meet operational requirements.

Working in a small team environment, responsibilities include:

  • Issuing and booking out stock using scanners
  • Operating forklift to receive deliveries
  • Processing incoming stock
  • Monitoring and replenishing stock levels to ensure continuity of supply
  • Performing regular stock takes of inventory and balancing accordingly
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Organising and supervising loading / unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Coordinating and monitoring freight companies delivering goods to and from the site
  • Other duties as required

We are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in a store based role within manufacturing environment
  • Current forklift licence with relevant driving experience
  • Proven computer literacy and experience using database systems (Renaissance highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience and skills working within customer service oriented role
  • A proven team player with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all.
  • Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Willingness to follow directions and work in a team environment
  • Experience with a barcode / scanner system
  • Relevant qualifications in Transport and Warehousing or Similar will be highly regarded
