ARA Electrical | Kenshaw requires an experienced Machinist to join our team, working in our Workshop Division. The role is diverse and no 2 days are the same. The main function of this role is to perform fitting and machining tasks working on electrical motors and equipment that is used in the mining and industrial space.

Kenshaw has been established for over 25 years and prides itself on a strong team culture whilst providing excellent service for its customers. The workshop division is in a strong growth phase and this role would be an integral part of this growth.

There will be a requirement to sometimes do overtime.

The applicant should have the following:

Essential:

  • Trade Qualified Machinist
  • Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in motor workshop environment.
  • Must be able to identify and rectify faulty and worn components
  • Read, understand and interpret drawings
  • Quality Assurance – dimensional checking, reporting and customer requirements
  • Undertake and complete work to Australian, Industry and Company standards
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • Working alone with minimal supervision
  • Flange management and machining experience
  • Strong commitment to WHS polices and procedures
  • Commitment to compliance, including health and safety measures of both the Company and customers, including undertaking additional training when required.
