What does the Clinical Team Lead do?

  • Provide support, guidance, and mentoring of students and Youth Care Coordinator's
  • Actively assist in progressing the growth and development of the service, in line with the Strategic Plan and client demand.
  • Undertake a range of assessments of young people as appropriate, and work with young people at different stages of mental illness.
  • Work collaboratively with the young person to develop individual recovery plans and/or service plans that are person-centred and feedback led with the young person central to their own care planning.
  • Psychological interventions as appropriate in collaboration with, or under direction of, other Psychologists and other Senior Clinicians.
  • Facilitate intake and case conference meetings with internal and external service providers to ensure a positive and collaborative approach to assisting the young person

What You'll Have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or other relevant allied health discipline
  • Current full registration ((or a provisional psychologist towards the end of their internship) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years' clinical experience in the mental health sector
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of recovery focused practice, specifically to the youth population.
  • Have a clear understanding and/or knowledge of the concept and impact of mental health issues in the community.
