As a Schools Officer Facilities and Grounds, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming school environments that support student learning and wellbeing. Working as part of the school's operational team, you'll ensure the grounds and facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and aligned with the department's commitment to high-quality
education spaces.

This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

About the Role

As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities at Coomera Springs State School, you will help keep the school running smoothly and looking its best. This hands-on role involves a variety of tasks, including:

  • Maintaining the school grounds, gardens, and sporting facilities.
  • Performing minor repairs and organising maintenance for buildings and equipment.
  • Setting up classrooms, halls, and other spaces for events and activities.
  • Supporting cleaning, waste management, and security around the school.
  • Managing school supplies and working with contractors when needed.

You'll play an important part in ensuring the school is safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and being part of a school community.
