Khukuri Auto Repairs is a modern, fully equipped automotive workshop based in Lidcombe, NSW, operating under YDR Hospitality's ABN. We specialise in comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, logbook servicing, mechanical repairs, and performance upgrades for cars and SUVs.

Our facility features three hoists, state-of-the-art diagnostic scanners (Snap-On, Autel, Bosch), and a highly skilled team of mechanics. We take pride in providing exceptional service quality, technical accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.


Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian safety standards.

This role requires a professional mechanic with strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work efficiently within a team environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance on petrol and diesel vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic tools and rectify engine, transmission, brake, clutch, and suspension issues.
  • Test and adjust mechanical systems for performance, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Perform safety inspections (pink/blue slips) where authorised.
  • Replace or repair worn and defective parts using appropriate tools and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate job records, repair documentation, and service reports.
  • Follow WHS standards and uphold workshop cleanliness and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with workshop colleagues and management.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).
  • 1+ of full-time relevant experience after qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic vehicle systems.
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain one).

Desirable Skills
  • Experience with European and performance vehicles (e.g. VW, BMW, Mercedes, Audi).
  • Knowledge of hybrid and EV systems.
  • Air-conditioning handling licence (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a dealership or high-volume repair workshop.
