About the role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance/Farm Hand Team Leader to join our team in Harden, NSW. This is a hands-on, full-time permanent role offering long-term stability and excellent conditions. You will lead by example to create a safe and productive work environment while ensuring the smooth and safe running of the farm and farming equipment.

Responsibilities:

Farm Maintenance including but not limited to

  • Inspect, service, and repair machinery/vehicles.
  • Identify mechanical faults and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime and maintain efficiency of the farm.
  • Assist with the setup, alignment, and testing of new machinery and mechanical systems
  • Use hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to fabricate or modify components as needed
  • Adhere to WHS policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all work meets regulatory standards
  • Contribute to the process of improvements and equipment upgrades
  • Operation of farm machinery, including front end loader
  • Care for sheds and litter, culling as required as well as associated general duties as a farm hand and remove waste product
  • Ensure the hygiene procedures are being maintained as per training and compliance with HACCP programs.
  • Participate in any training programs and in the QA quality system
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Farm Manager

About you:

  • Strong mechanical background working on farming equipment/ Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) desirable.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • A proactive mindset and "can-do" attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
