At Phoenix Contact, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tullamarine, Victoria. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our business by providing expert technical support and solutions to our valued customers. This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and drive the development of sales for the Phoenix Contact product range.
  • Plan, develop, and implement strategies to increase penetration of Phoenix Contact products within existing and potential accounts.
  • Oversee and grow local Key Accounts within your portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key consultants and contractors.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, assisting them in selecting the right products and solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop customised proposals and presentations that showcase our industry-leading products and services.
  • Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions to educate customers on the features and benefits of our solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product developments to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the product development team to help improve our offerings.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical sales or engineering role, preferably within the industrial automation or electrical engineering industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of industrial automation products, solutions, and applications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand solutions for customers.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining successful customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field are highly desirable.
