Amoretti's is a well-established, family-owned Italian restaurant located in South West Sydney. Known for our warm hospitality, authentic flavours, and high-quality ingredients, we have built a loyal following and a strong reputation in the local dining scene.

We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team and take our culinary offering to the next level.

About the Role:

As Head Chef, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, team leadership, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality cuisine. You will play a key role in shaping the menu, maintaining kitchen standards, and creating an inspiring and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations
  • Develop and refine seasonal menus rooted in traditional and modern Italian cuisine
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a strong team culture
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
  • Manage inventory, ordering, food cost control, and supplier relationships
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and OH&S standards
  • Collaborate with the owners and front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Italian food, ingredients, and techniques
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
  • Experience in cost control, stock management, and menu development
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
