Tasks and responsibilities:       Instruct the theory and practicalrequirements within the applicable trade stream.Participate in thecontinuing review of curriculum content, teaching methods and methods ofstudent assessment.Conduct examinations, andparticipate in the preparation, correction and assessment of examinationpapers, student reports and assignments.Participate in thecounselling and remediation of students.Participate in thedevelopment and generation of class notes, teaching materials and practical activities.Be involved in thepromotion of activities and programs offered by Aviation Australia.Remain up to date withtechnological developments in the aerospace industry and in particular, theappointee's area of expertise.Monitor and self -evaluateteaching performance to ensure a high standard is maintained which providesoptimal student learning opportunities.Maintain awareness withregards to relevant Commonwealth or State/Territory legislation and AviationAustralia's policies and procedures. Accept delegated tasks,and the subsequent authorities and accountabilities associated with such tasks,as directed by the accountable / reporting manager and senior management.Undertake other duties asrequired by the accountable / reporting manager and senior management.Comply with therequirements of Aviation Australia's:Code of Conduct.Work Health and Safetylegislation.Policies and procedures  RequirementsMinimum experience as Aviation instructor for 3 -5 years.  Certificate IV in Aero skills, or the abilityto obtain the competencies associated with the Certificate IV.Current Certificate IV in Training andAssessment, or a higher recognized qualification in teaching/training.
