Bartender key responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
  2. Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
  3. Maintain knowledge of bar menu, wine list, cocktails, and promotions.
  4. Manage bar operations including restocking, cleaning, and setup/close-down procedures.
  5. Ensure responsible service of alcohol in line with RSA regulations.
  6. Take customer orders and process payments accurately using POS systems.
  7. Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
  8. Monitor guest behavior and proactively manage any intoxication or safety issues.
  9. Assist in inventory control and reporting shortages or maintenance issues to management.
  10. Work as part of a team and support floor staff when required.
