Senior Operations Officer

The University of Queensland's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences is seeking a motivated and highly organised Senior Operations Officer to support the smooth operation of the Faculty office.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager, Strategic Operations to oversee the operational needs of the Faculty of HMBS including, office management, facilities coordination, and general administration. You'll bring strong judgement, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement of Faculty operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Facilities, Assets & Space Management: Oversee office space allocations, facilities coordination, asset management (including audits, purchases/disposals), and support minor capital works. Manage access cards, keys, and parking allocations.
Operational & Technology Support: Coordinate procurement and maintenance of office equipment and act as liaison with ITS for the management set up and support of IT equipment in line with UQ policies.
Staff Lifecycle Coordination: Lead onboarding and offboarding processes including IT, space allocation, OH&S inductions, and access management to ensure smooth transitions for new and departing staff.
Financial Administration Support: Provide administrative for financial processes such and UniFi requisitions, invoice management, procurement of supplies, hospitality calculators, reconciliation of corporate cards and reimbursements.
Faculty Enquiries & Engagement Support: Manage general enquiries and correspondence, act as first point of contact for stakeholders, providing professional 'front of house' service and directing enquiries appropriately. Support internal events, communications and engagement initiatives including EDI and branded materials.

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 6, based at the Herston Campus.
About YouA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or other relevant qualification with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style in engaging in close and genuine partnerships with stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise your own workload, generate imaginative and innovative solutions to problems and use your initiative as required.
Advanced computer literacy skills, including experience with a wide range of software applications.
An understanding of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of University operations, policies and procedures.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check.
