Mechanical Fitter – Three Month Contract (possibility of Permanent)

In this permanent role, you'll play a crucial part in keeping the facility running efficiently, maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment from chillers to pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair a range of mechanical equipment, including chillers, pumps, and associated systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues independently and collaboratively
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and uphold safety standards
  • Contribute to smooth daily operations and ongoing improvements

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, preferably with water plant equipment
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing chillers, pumps, and other mechanical systems
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proactive maintenance practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent mechanical fitting experience
  • Knowledge of water plant operations and maintenance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues
