About the Team

The Oncology Research Office provides high-quality research services to children with cancer and haematological disorders across Queensland and northern New South Wales. By conducting research of all phases with collaborative research groups, commercial sponsors and local investigators, the team helps to optimise clinical trial access to participants.

About the Role

Contribute to the development of research projects by providing expert advice and high level support to research collaborators within and external to Children's Health Queensland.

Independently prepare correspondence, briefs, submissions and reports for review by the relevant boards within and external to Children's Health Queensland (e.g. Ethics, Research Governance, institutional boards, funding bodies, etc).

Identify issues or challenges which may impact the delivery of research projects within the projected timelines and budgets and develop strategies in collaboration with collaborators to address these.

Demonstrate high level knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, standards and acts to appropriately ensure safe and professional research conduct.

Deliver advanced research services including assisting with recruitment of participants, extracting clinical data and entering into relevant databases, and maintaining the databases according to data protection principles.

Develop and refine data collection tools and study materials.

Independently maintain documentation relating to research projects.

Assist with data analysis, reporting of results, and dissemination of results.
