Job Overview:

We are looking for an Experienced Fruit and Veg Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient handling, rotation, and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables. Your responsibilities will focus on managing stock rotation, maintaining produce quality, and supporting daily operations. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a passion for fresh, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure optimal freshness and minimise waste.
  • Inspect and sort produce to maintain quality standards.
  • Organise and store fruits in designated areas, ensuring proper handling and storage conditions.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and distribution goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with fresh produce, including handling, sorting, and storage.
  • Knowledge of FIFO procedures and stock rotation practices.
  • Physical stamina to lift, move, and handle heavy produce.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
