LOCATION: Ashburton

We're looking for two compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality support in Ashburton.

Essential Experience – Ashburton Role:

  • Manual Handling (including transfers and mobility assistance)
  • Hydrotherapy support experience

We support participants with various physical/mental health disabilities, ranging from children to older individuals.

Duties and Requirements for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Social and Community Participation.

Here is a bit more about your role as a MHCS Support worker:

  • You will be a valued team member helping to provide services to support clients' individual needs in both their home and community
  • Paid hours (casual) + Kilometres - Attractive hourly rates
  • Broken Shift Allowance
  • Set roster with the chance to pick up shifts along the way
  • You MUST have a current driver's license and preferably own car to use on shifts

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family, and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth service delivery flow throughout the participants' plan.
  • Assist with liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals, ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and provide a medium of solid communication.
  • Increase participants skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills and personal development.
  • Provide quality and professional support in line with participants plans, needs, and wants.
  • Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.
  • Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills, identify areas of increased support and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.

Job Types: Casual

Pay: $35.69 per hour
