About the role

Compassionate Care Partners is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Bundaberg, QLD. This is a casual position that will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with daily living activities and supporting their independence and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing personalised care and support to clients in their own homes or within the community
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication management
  • Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to promote their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
  • Advocating for clients' needs and collaborating with their families and healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in aged care, disability support, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
