What We Do:

At Destec, Crushing & Screening is the foundation of what we do. On this particular project, we own and operate a 10 million tonne per annum incremental crushing plant for a Tier 1 mining company in the Pilbara. We are responsible for all maintenance and production works on our plant, so we employ a diverse team of both maintenance tradespersons and operators to ensure our plant runs safely and effectively.

The Role:

We are looking for experienced Maintenance Electricians to join our operations. The role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preventative Maintenance: A plant maintained to a high standard functions at a high standard. We therefore have a highly regulated preventative maintenance schedule to keep us at optimal efficiency.
  • Isolations: Our Electricians are our primary Isolation Officers. Once trained, you will conduct isolations for all personnel on site.
  • Breakdowns & Fault Finding: Even the most effectively maintained plant will have breakdowns and faults.
  • Coverage for Control Room Operations: This will not be your full-time job. However, we believe it is great value for our Electricians to understand how the control room operates and interacts with the plant. You will, at times, be stationed in the control room, normally for short-term coverage.

The Important Information:

  • Roster is 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
  • The role is predominately days only; however, there is a requirement to work nights if the shift crew requires coverage.
  • Ideally we are seeking Electricians to be engaged on a full time salary, however are open to applicants that are seeking an initial casual contract with view to transfer to a perm contract.

The requirements:

  • WA A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space
  • LVR/CPR
  • Ability to pass medical/drug and alcohol test
  • Strong team player
  • Strong commitment to health safety

  • Purpose-built site with its own airport.
  • 15 minutes from the airport to the camp and from the camp to the site (so you are not spending hours a day travelling).
