What you'll be doing
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award
  • Extensive recent experience in paediatric and neonatal anaesthesia and acute pain management at Consultant level in a tertiary paediatric institution. This experience must be recent and the applicant must demonstrate a commitment to a career in paediatric anaesthesia and paediatric anaesthesia research
  • Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthetic experience is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
