Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist general adult psychiatric services to regional, rural and remote communities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health care
  • Engage with Indigenous and underserved populations, tailoring care to meet diverse cultural needs
  • Participate in community outreach, education, and support initiatives
  • Large telehealth component

About You

  • Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) with specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry
    OR
  • Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
  • Support for subspecialty interest in drug and alcohol, indigenous persons, consultant liaison, medico legal or outreach
  • Interest in rural psychiatry, community engagement, and working with Indigenous or underserved populations
  • Comfortable to travel within the district 1-2 days per month to remote and rural environments
