At the City of Armadale, we're building a modern, proactive approach to workplace health and safety. This is a new role in a growing team, reporting to a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead who's passionate about practical solutions and genuine engagement. Together, you'll set the tone, embed systems that work, and help our people feel confident, capable, and cared for.

What you'll be driving

In your first 12 months, you'll:

  • Partner with leaders and teams to make WHS simple, visible and meaningful to their day to day work
  • Help roll out and embed our new digital WHS system – making safety reporting easier, faster and smarter.
  • Lead or support practical projects that life capability, reduce risk and strengthen our safety culture.
  • Guide investigations, coach others and turn insights into long term improvements.
  • Shape and deliver health and wellbeing initiatives that support a thriving, safe workplace.

This is a hands-on role where you'll have the autonomy to make things happen — and the backing of a leadership team that truly values what great WHS partnership can deliver.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Are known for practical, down to earth WHS advice people actually follow.
  • Bring credibility from experience in operational or high risk environments.
  • Enjoy collaborating across teams, translating complex requirements into real-world actions.
  • Have strong knowledge of WHS legislation and a knack for turning compliance into culture.
