Our client, P&R Family Trust, is seeking a motivated and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join their workshop, where high standards, attention to detail, and quality workmanship are valued and rewarded. This role is ideal for a qualified Automotive Mechanic with a passion for vehicle performance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will help uphold the standards of excellence that define our workshop.

The workshop, located in Pakenham, Victoria, has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable automotive services and repairs, from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and engine rebuilds. They provide services for various vehicles, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric models, and pride themselves on exceptional customer service.

The annual salary for this position is $73,150 to $75,000.

Duties include:

· Identifying and diagnosing faults in mechanical systems within engines and related parts.

· Removing and disassembling engine units, transmissions, steering systems, and other components for inspection and evaluation.

· Replacing or repairing damaged parts, reassembling mechanical systems, and consulting service manuals when required.

· Performing regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubricating, and engine tune-ups to ensure vehicles run smoothly and comply with environmental regulations.

· Reassembling engines and components after they have been repaired.

· Testing and adjusting mechanical systems after repairs to verify they function correctly.

· Using computer systems and diagnostic tools to evaluate and troubleshoot vehicle components.

· May conduct vehicle inspections and specify the work needed to make the vehicle roadworthy.

· May assist with vehicle breakdowns by providing emergency repair services.

Qualifications:

· Must have more than three (3) years of experience in a similar setting.

· Must possess a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
