Key responsibilities include:
- Respond and resolve incidents and requests raised by customers and system generated alerts, internal project tasks, quality control activities and other activities to support the overall delivery of the business platform to Breville.
- Monitor compliance to Breville's standard operating policies & procedures, ensuring standardisation of the business platforms and minimisation of exposure to data loss and licensing compliance.
- Coordinate External Vendors for warranty and maintenance of equipment, software and hosting as required.
- Assist other Breville Technology Services groups as required in the delivery of Services to the organisation.
- Management and ongoing development of the Breville infrastructure systems. Including but not limited to Azure Cloud and other technology and security stacks.
- Provide guidance and ideas regarding the Azure Cloud technical stack with how the organisation can improve its cloud capabilities.
- Identifying, recommending and implement recommendations and best practices of Enterprise Services systems.
- Development of training and documentation of new and existing systems and mentoring of other Technology Services staff.
Financial
- Asses new services for their cost benefit and viability.
- Identify and recommend cost optimisation on platforms we are responsible for.
Operations
- Record, track and document all incidents and requests in the ITSM tool including all decisions made and actions taken through to final resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Drive effective resolution of all incidents & service requests to support the delivery of the business platform. Work across teams to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Manage Major Incidents in line with the agreed process.
- Identify problems and feed them into the Problem Management process, work collaboratively with internal & external stakeholders to resolve and improve the overall delivery of the platform.
- Identify areas of potential improvement and recommend solutions to appropriate groups.
- Create and/or update knowledge base articles, work instructions and FAQs.
- Assist in project delivery and fulfilment of project-related work packages.
- Recommend, Build & Enhance monitoring, alerting and responses to critical business & system operations.

People
- Work in collaboration with the Technology Services wider team to resolve and educate on Infrastructure services
- Communication with the business in non-technical terms.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to other technical engineering team members.
Professional Experience:
Essential:
- Previous roles as a senior technical engineer.
- Minimum 5 Years supporting Azure Cloud environment Experience.
- Knowledge of ITIL-aligned practices (Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management) and how they apply in a modern Azure operations context to ensure stability and traceability.
- Strong IT Infrastructure Background - Must have a solid foundation in core infrastructure disciplines including networking, compute, storage, identity, and virtualization. Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise IT infrastructure before or during transition to cloud environments
- Extensive Azure Experience in Enterprise Environments - Demonstrated experience working in medium to large organisations using Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform. Skilled in managing and scaling cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Azure Landing Zone Design & Implementation Expertise - In-depth hands-on experience in designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones following Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework. Capable of defining foundational components such as identity, network architecture, governance structures, management, and security layers.
- Azure Governance, Security & Policy Management - Advanced understanding of Azure governance models, including Azure Management Groups, Azure Policy, Blueprints, Entra ID and RBAC. Experienced in embedding security and compliance into infrastructure design.
- Azure Networking - Expertise in designing and implementing Azure networking solutions (VNETs, VPNs, Private End Points, Application Gateway, etc.) and security controls (NSGs, firewalls technologies, Azure Defender, Key Vault).
- Platform Engineering & Azure Operations - Experience managing Azure compute, storage, monitoring, and management services with a platform engineering mindset. Comfortable supporting high-availability environments and managing multi-subscription models.
- ITIL-Aligned Cloud Service Management - Knowledge of ITIL-aligned practices (Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management) and how they apply in a modern Azure operations context to ensure stability and traceability.
- Proven experience with scripting Languages and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Python and PowerShell
