Role Overview:

As a Painter, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on a variety of surfaces, both inside and out. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding and repairing imperfections to ensure a smooth base.
• Protecting adjacent areas using masking materials and drop sheets.
• Mixing and matching paints, stains and coatings to achieve the desired finish.
• Applying paint, varnish and specialty finishes using a range of tools and techniques.
• Refining surfaces between coats to maintain a consistent, professional appearance.
• Working with clients or supervisors to finalise colour selections and finishes.
• Checking completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
• Keeping painting tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
• Following safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in residential and commercial painting.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint types and application techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Skilled in the use of brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• White Card.
• Driver's Licence.
• Work Safely at Heights.
• National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
