We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Commercial Lawyer to join our team and play a key role in delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on role where you will manage a varied portfolio of commercial matters from start to finish. You will be trusted with autonomy while working closely with our Principal and legal team, applying your technical expertise and commercial judgment to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a broad range of commercial and business law matters.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
- Managing transactions including business sales, commercial leases, and corporate structuring.
- Advising on compliance, regulatory issues, and risk management.
- Conducting legal research and preparing high-quality written advice.
- Liaising directly with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Running matters efficiently, including managing billable targets and deadlines.
- Contributing to business development and strengthening client relationships.
- 2–5 years PAE in commercial law (experience in litigation or property law advantageous).
- Strong technical knowledge in contract law, corporations law, and related areas.
- Proven ability to manage files independently from initial instructions to resolution.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver pragmatic, outcome-driven advice.
- Strong client relationship skills and a commitment to service excellence.
- Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a boutique firm setting.
- Work directly with senior lawyers and gain exposure to high-quality matters.
