ABOUT THE ROLE
Trusting Hands Disability Services (THDS) is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced female support workers who can speak either Mandarin or Cantonese to join our team. This requirement is based on the expressed preferences and personal care needs of our participants, in line with the genuine occupational requirement provision.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services including:
- Personal care
- Domestic assistance
- Community participation
- Social and recreational support
- Personal development and skill building
You will work to empower individuals with disabilities and/or mental health conditions to live independently, build meaningful relationships, and actively participate in their communities.
This is a mobile role – a reliable vehicle and mobile phone are required.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications & Documents:
- Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or Mental Health
- Female applicants only who can speak either Mandarin or Cantonese(in line with participant support requirements)
- Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Own registered and insured vehicle
- Mobile phone
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Vulnerable People card
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (employment purposes)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (including booster if eligible) or valid medical exemption
Desirable:
- Manual handling training
- Experience with autism and/or behaviours of concern
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work across rotating rosters (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays)

Schedule:
