Engagement Type: Contract - 6 to 12 Months
Daily Rate: $800 per day (inclusive of super, excl. GST)

About the Role

Lorgan is seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Perth. You will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is a great opportunity to contribute to cloud migration, automation, and modernisation initiatives in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure solutions
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation initiatives
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and cloud environment issues (Level 2/3 support)
  • Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security, and operational standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cloud environments and procedures

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5 years in IT infrastructure, with 2 years in AWS-focused roles
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Understanding of AWS networking, identity & access management, and security best practices
  • AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are highly regarded
  • Experience with containers and orchestration (e.g., ECS, EKS, Docker) is a plus
