Our client, a leading player in the financial services sector, is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in leveraging technology.

This is an opportunity to revolutionize financial wellness by merging innovative technology with human expertise. As a key contributor, you will build and maintain their data infrastructure, ensuring data is reliable, secure, and accessible for driving insights and delivering better wealth experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to identify and fulfill data needs
  • Ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible for analysis and reporting
  • Build data integration processes between various internal and external systems
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data processes to ensure consistent data delivery and reliability
  • Implement and maintain security and privacy measures for sensitive data in line with privacy policies
  • Collaborate on data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Provide documentation and training on data processes for relevant stakeholders
  • Explore opportunities to integrate new tools and technologies into the data infrastructure
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting
  • Strong ability to query and manage relational databases using SQL
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL and ELT processes to move and transform data effectively
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in integrating APIs to fetch and post data efficiently
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development practices
