About the Position

Auto Masters Bunbury is offering an opportunity for a passionate, motivated and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join their modern workshop. This role would suit a fully qualified mechanic with a high mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in the industry.

This role is a full-time ongoing position, working 42.5 hours per week (plus reasonable additional hours) based in Bunbury WA 6230.

Main Tasks

· Providing expert advice in relation to mechanical condition of vehicles.

· Mechanical vehicle repair and servicing including engine, transmission, body and suspension components.

· Diagnosis, and repair of vehicle issue s and defects per dealer & manufacturer warranty processes, standards, and guidelines.

· Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using service reporting systems.

· Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to return of vehicles to customers.

· Always maintaining a safe working environment.

· Maintaining an up to date, high level of knowledge of all mechanical issues.

· Other general workshop duties where required.

· Scheduling working hours of all kitchen employees, taking into consideration the volume of expected and emergency business but being always careful to conserve labour cost

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

· Minimum of a Cert III in Automotive Mechanical Technology and at least a minimum 12 months' full-time experience in the industry.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

· Current manual driver's license

· Attention to detail

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Effective communication and teamwork

· Quality workmanship is a must
