In this role, the Education Manager (EMB) is responsible for leadership and management of educational workgroup/s and for ensuring that the educational program/s is capable of responding to the education and training needs of government, industry, students and clients.

Got What It Takes?

• Proven ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, improve and report on the productivity and performance of designated educational workgroup/s.
• Demonstrated ability to implement sound Human Resource Management policies and processes at both individual and organisational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive the continuous improvement of an educational program/s, products and services in accordance with the requirements of ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority).
• Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with other training providers, schools, universities, other government agencies and Industry.

What You Need to Know

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.

The APY Lands Education Manager role will require regular visits (1 -2 weeks in duration) to the APY Lands to support staff working in isolation in a remote setting. Whilst based in Adelaide, weekly support for the geographically isolated team of lecturers is essential. The job is critical in maintaining relationships with Anangu leaders and organisational leaders and requires vision to remain informed of trends and opportunities to benefit the APY Lands program.
