About the role

The AIPU is a 12 bed Psychiatric Inpatient unit based at Box Hill Hospital. The ANUM role is a senior nursing position responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward milieu and junior staff.

About you

You will be a highly motivated experienced psychiatric nurse with a strong work ethic and ability to shift lead a busy acute inpatient unit.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
• Current nursing registration with AHPRA
• Post Graduate qualifications in mental Health Nursing are essential or working towards
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
