We are seeking a strategically minded and results-driven Operations
Manager to lead and shape the future of operations at our client's site, based
in Blayney, NSW. This senior-level, full-time role is ideal for an experienced
leader in the Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services industry, particularly
with a background in hazardous waste, energy or manufacturing operations. You
will be pivotal in driving sustainable growth, operational excellence and
business innovation.

Responsibilities
As Operations Manager, you will:
- Be a core member of the
leadership team, driving business success. - Collaborate with the COO and key
stakeholders to develop and execute business strategy aimed at growth and
sustainability. - Lead and manage all operational
aspects of the site, including safety, productivity, profitability, compliance,
cost management and cash flow. - Monitor key operational KPIs and
provide support to ensure high performance across all functions. - Evaluate and implement
operational improvements and cost-effective business changes. - Lead project management
initiatives including new processes, equipment and treatment methods. - Play a central role in developing
technical solutions to enhance service efficiency for clients. - Oversee the resourcing of people,
structure and equipment to meet operational demands. - Develop and maintain effective
management systems to ensure a safe and productive workforce. - Provide leadership and mentorship
to employees, driving high engagement and accountability. - Ensure compliance with all
regulatory requirements and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. - Maintain
and strengthen relationships with key partners, vendors and suppliers. - Analyse
external and internal performance data to drive informed decision-making
Your Profile
Formal Education
- Tertiary
qualification in chemical engineering or a relevant discipline.
Work Experience
- Proven
experience in a senior operations role within industrial sectors such as
hazardous waste, energy, logistics or manufacturing. - Demonstrated
leadership managing business units with full responsibility for P&L,
people, safety and compliance. - Strong
background in risk management, particularly related to liquid or hazardous
waste. - Experience
in continuous improvement initiatives, including new systems, processes
and compliance frameworks.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent
leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills. - Strong
business and financial acumen. - Knowledge
of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act and Australian
Dangerous Goods Code. - High
level of IT literacy and organisational skills. Strong
written and verbal communication skills.Location :
