About the role
We're looking for a strategic and experienced Manager Grants and Investments to lead the administration and delivery of state and Commonwealth funding programs focused on disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and recovery.
This is a pivotal role within the NSW Reconstruction Authority, ensuring best practice governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement across the grant lifecycle. About You
You are someone who brings a sharp strategic lens, strong governance instincts, and a collaborative spirit. You will thrive in this role if you have:
Proven experience managing complex grants and funding programs in a dynamic, politically sensitive environment.
Deep understanding of the NSW Grants Administration Guide and best practice grant management principles.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to oversee robust reporting systems and ensure accurate allocation tracking.
A proactive approach to risk management and performance monitoring across multiple funding streams.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and drive outcomes across government and community partners.
Experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks to enhance accountability and continuous improvement.
A track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
A commitment to public value and community resilience through effective funding delivery.
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline – this could be management/finance related, or a discipline related to disaster risk reduction

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the RA) is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
