Summary of the role: Your main duties will include assembling the finished roller blind and parts, inspecting the blind on a visual motorised inspection hoist and packaging the blind ready for shipment. A good memory, not being susceptible to errors, and attention to detail and care when handling the product to prevent damage is a must. There will also be some physical work for about 1/3rd of the month, where we unload plantation shutters from containers, and label the goods + palletise the goods.

We specialise in manufacturing roller blinds, outdoor blinds, and curtains, with plans to introduce additional products in the future.
This is a hands-on role, so it's essential that the candidate is physically capable. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:- Follow detailed production instructions on purchase orders
- Assemble roller blinds to finished product
- Have a good eye for detail, so that the product you assemble is of the highest quality. After assembly the product will be hoisted for visual inspection.
- Assembly of curtain tracks, and other blind products when needed
- Unload plantation shutter containers twice a month for a few days with a second person's help, and label shutters for shipment
- Package plantation shutter cartons onto ready made pallets, organise them by destination state, and secure pallets with strapping and shrink wrap for shipment, some degree of measurements and visualisation is required to get cartons to fit in best way possible onto the oversized pallets.
- Occasional driving of forklift may be warranted, forklift license is highly regarded but not necessary.
- Occasional use of curtain fabric machinery depending on work load
- Other general factory duties, including tidying up work area, emptying wastebins once a week

Dress Code: General hi-vis factory attire with closed-toe shoes is required for safety.
