About the role

W Wall and Sons' are seeking an experienced Quarry Machine Operator to join their team in Nebo, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment in the quarry to extract and process raw materials. With a focus on safety, efficiency and quality, you will play a crucial part in supporting the company's construction projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

1. Safely operate a range of plant and machinery, including crushers, excavators, loaders and haul trucks
2. Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
3. Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance requirements
4. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to protect yourself and your colleagues
5. Work collaboratively with the wider quarry team to achieve the site's production goals

What we're looking for

1. Several years' experience operating heavy machinery and equipment in a quarry or mining environment
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
3. Commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
5. Current HR or HR/HC driver's licence, with the ability to obtain any additional licences or tickets as required
6. Sound understanding of the construction or mining industry and relevant machinery and equipment
