Key responsibilities
- Operate modern tools and machinery, including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, and blowers.
- Perform routine tasks: mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, fertilising, and pest control.
- Plan daily schedules and manage team workflows to ensure safe, efficient task completion.
- Complete site paperwork: pre-starts, daily reports, Take 5s, and SWMS.
- Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and uphold a professional image.
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including programming and fault-finding.
- Monitor plant and soil health, conduct testing, and apply treatments as needed.
- Assist with seasonal planting and minor design updates to keep the site looking its best.
- Identify and report site improvement opportunities or concerns.
- Ensure WHS procedures are followed by all team members.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Help train and mentor junior team members.
What will you need
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Preferred)
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction (Preferred)
- Driver's licence (Manual or Automatic)
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
