Casual Position Overview: Home Support Workers help our clients with:
  • Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
  • Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
  • Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
  • Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
  • Recording attendance through a smartphone application, as well as a summary of tasks completed.

Home Support Workers are required to have:
  • National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
  • Victorian Driver's License.
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
  • (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.

Remuneration: Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for the casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divvied into two sections: the base rate for disability and aged care services, and then the allowances and reimbursements.

Selection Criteria:
Available from morning to afternoon on weekdays
  • Registered, road-worthy and insured vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks referred to in the position overview.
  • Alignment with company values.
  • Ability to meet compliance and qualification criteria referred to in requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
