We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a Client with a strong passion for photography. The Client enjoys exploring new places to capture wildlife and nature shots and would benefit from working with someone who shares this interest and has knowledge of DSLR cameras.

The role involves providing assistance with community access, personal care, daily exercises, and communication programs as recommended by the therapy team. The Client also attends choir, gym, and speech therapy sessions and values friendly, engaging conversation and consistent, long-term support from their Support Worker.

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in photography, experience with manual handling, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be patient, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality support that promotes independence and wellbeing.

Shift times and days are negotiable - Approx 5-7 hours per week

Pay rates are as follows; Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $76.38

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency ofClients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
  • Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client's needs
  • Provide support to our Clients as required
  • Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
  • Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
  • Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
  • To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
