Business Analyst

THE ROLE

• Works closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to translate well-defined CVPs into structured, agile-ready technical requirements for development.

• Acts as a key link between Product, Development, and business teams.

• Primary contributor to grooming activities and sprint coordination using JIRA.

• Provides ongoing clarification during development phases.

• Identifies changes to policies, procedures, or workflows and communicates these to Product for inclusion in market readiness and implementation plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Translate CPC's approved CVPs for new products, feature enhancements and other system requirements (e.g. regulatory, compliance, security, other) into effective, well-structured and detailed technical requirements, documented in JIRA, briefed into the relevant development stream / partner.

Solutioning includes, but is not limited to:

• Cross-business collaboration (Product Managers, IT, Bus Ops), market monitoring and assessment of CPC performance and emerging technologies, to deliver innovative, seamless solutions.

• Facilitating discovery sessions to capture deep level requirements.

• Solution Architecture design and validation with Solutioning and IT Leads and Product Management.

• Create and maintain process maps and flows that support solution design and documentation for key user journeys, customer support and business functions.

• Liaise with vendors to clarify requirements and support delivery coordination for new products and feature enhancements.

Requirements specification (stories for internal builds, technical specifications for 3rd party builds), coordination and scheduling of stories for grooming.

Contribute to testing strategy, lead UAT execution, and ensure post-release validation aligns with technical requirements and acceptance criteria.

Facilitate effective handover demonstrations and briefings to Product Managers and the provision of technical materials to assist market readiness phases.

WHAT SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE

• Being passionate and knowledgeable about our proprietary software products and partner integrations in order to successfully plan, solution and coordinate technical requirements prepared for sizing.

• Proactively participating and engaging with Solution Architecture and Design team members, IT, vendors, product managers and other teams to design specifications and associated business processes that enhance CPC's product while focusing on business value.

• Producing high quality specifications that meet Product Team briefing requirements and provide clear development requirements to development teams.

• Delivering accurate and complete requirements on time and supporting the delivery team through build, test and release. Regularly generating ideas and business recommendations for how our solutions make CPC and our clients more successful.

• Being known for delivery of structured, succinct, well planned and executed internal pre-release briefings to Product Managers for market readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clear understanding of agile methodologies and full software development life cycles including the use of JIRA and coordination of sprint planning (in partnership with IT Development Team).

• Experience in software development projects, business analysis and/or application support

• Experience delivering clear technical documentation and user stories

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years in innovation, technology and/or Business Analyst role.

• Strategic thinking and vision to develop innovative product solutions with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and support agile delivery processes.

• Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across business functions

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Applied Science or similar is preferred but not essential.
